OpenAI's GPT Image 2.6 model tops two image-generation rankings

Two OpenAI image models, nicknamed Flare and Sunburst, took the top two places on a public leaderboard for text-to-image generation.
The leaderboard is run by Artificial Analysis, an outside firm that compares AI models by how well they perform on common tasks.
The same models also rank highest for editing existing images, not just for creating new ones.
