Police deploy AI tool to search surveillance and arrest records
First reported
The Neuron ran this on .
- Flock Safety, a company that makes police technology, built an AI system that lets officers search video surveillance, arrest records, and other police data using plain English questions instead of traditional database searches.
- The system can connect information across multiple sources: video footage of movements, lists of associates, arrest histories, dispatch logs, and commercial identity databases.
- Officers can now ask natural language queries (questions phrased in everyday language rather than technical code) to find connections between people and locations faster than manual searching.
