Periodic Labs aims to build AI that learns by running physical experiments

Periodic Labs, founded by Liam Fedus and Ekin Dogus Cubuk, is developing AI scientists.
Unlike chatbots trained mainly on internet text, these systems learn by carrying out real physical experiments.
The founders argue that real-world experiments are the ground truth that pure reasoning cannot replace.
