Meta opens Muse voice and video chat to all US users

Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, now lets anyone in the US call or video chat with its Muse AI assistant.
Muse appears as an animated avatar, which users can change to a person, an animal, or another character.
The avatar uses new Meta voice and avatar models and reacts with facial expressions and gestures that match the conversation's tone.

Muse is the third Meta release we have tracked since September 2, following Muse Voice Transcribe on 2026-09-02 and the Muse models on 2026-10-20 and Muse Spark Open on 2026-10-25. Only one of the 30 newsletters, Latent Space, has covered this voice and video chat expansion so far.
