AI Business and Engadget ran this on , all on the same day.
- Pocket, made by Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, lets users type descriptions to generate small interactive experiences called gizmos instead of games.
- Gizmos can respond to touch and tilt, include photos and music, and use smartphone capabilities fully. Users can save favorites, share to a feed, and remix others' creations.
- The app arrived in the US after testing in Brazil and is free. Meta acquired most of the team behind a defunct app called Gizmo, which worked the same way.
- Gizmos appear in a scrollable social feed where other people can discover and build on them, adding a social layer to the creation tool.
