Kentucky administrator wins religious exemption from workplace AI use
First reported

- David Durman, a humanist administrator at the University of Kentucky, got an exemption from using AI at work on religious grounds.
- Humanism is a non-religious worldview, but federal courts have ruled it counts as a religion under the Civil Rights Act's Title VII.
- He still has to attend meetings and work with colleagues who use AI, so the exemption covers only his own use.
