Cheap classification models gain ground as new benchmarks rank them

- Artificial Analysis launched a new Decision Index, where a model called Jev 1.13 ranks first at a lower cost.
- ScaleDown, a company offering cheaper AI tools, launched three endpoints for classifying, extracting and summarizing text.
- A model here means a program that reads text and makes an answer, and an endpoint is a web address where a developer sends that work.
