- Anthropic, the AI company behind the Claude chatbot, reported about $17 billion in revenue for its latest quarter, roughly twelve times the year before.
- Its operating costs of $17.5 billion were higher than that revenue, so it posted a quarterly operating loss after a prior profitable quarter.
- The quarterly net loss was about $23.3 billion, up from $12.1 billion a year earlier, driven partly by $5 billion for short-term computing capacity.
